An Ephemeral Installation
During the pandemic, when the beaches of Yucatán fell silent and humanity withdrew, I found myself the only one walking upon the untouched white sands of the Caribbean coast.
In that profound stillness, I created an ephemeral installation; a trail of footprints gently pressed into the sand, vanishing with the wind and tide.
It was a quiet gesture born from solitude; an offering to the beauty that endured even when no one was there to witness it.
Each step became a mark of presence within absence; a trace of humanity’s longing for connection, for the rising sun we once gathered to watch together.
The work existed only briefly before returning to the landscape; reminding us that even in separation, existence continues to breathe and the world keeps creating endlessly, effortlessly.
