An Ephemeral Installation
During the pandemic, when the beaches of Yucatán fell silent and humanity withdrew, I found myself the only one walking upon the untouched white sands of the Caribbean coast.
In that profound stillness, I created an ephemeral installation; a trail of footprints gently pressed into the sand, vanishing with the wind and tide.
It was a quiet gesture born from solitude, an offering to the beauty that endured even when no one was there to witness it.
Each step became a mark of presence in absence, a trace of humanity’s longing for connection, for the rising sun we once gathered to watch together.
These footprints remind us that even in separation, existence continues to breathe, and the world keeps creating;
endlessly, effortlessly.
